About GaleraGames
GaleraGames is a small, free website for playing party games with people you already know. Pick a game, share a five-letter room code, and play. Nothing to install, no account to create.
How it works
One person hosts a room and gets a five-letter code. Everyone else opens the site, types the code, and picks a name. That is the whole setup.
Each player can use their own phone, or the whole table can pass a single device around. You can also mix the two: some players sharing the host's screen, others on their own. When a game ends, the same room hops straight into a different game, so nobody has to share the code twice.
The games
We build party games for groups of three to twelve players: social deduction, bluffing, cooperative puzzles and word games. Some are our own originals, like Passenger. Others are our take on classics of the genre, rebuilt for phones so the screen handles the secrets, the timer and the scoring while you do the talking.
Every game has its full rules on its own page, so you can read exactly how it plays before you gather anyone.
Why we made it
Party games are at their best in person, but the fiddly parts get in the way: dealing out secret roles, hiding cards from the person next to you, keeping time, tallying scores. A phone is good at precisely those parts. So we moved the bookkeeping to the screen and left the fun where it belongs, at the table.
It works when you are apart, too. The same room code carries a game over a video call just as well as around a kitchen table.
Languages
GaleraGames is available in English, Portuguese, Spanish, French and German, games and rules included. "Galera" is Brazilian Portuguese for "the gang": your crew for game night.
Is it really free?
Yes. Every game is free to play, with no limits, no trial and no sign-up. Ads pay for the site. If you would rather play without them, there is an optional ad-free pass: one purchase, and everyone at your table plays ad-free for as long as it lasts.
